For Our Guests
Visitors can be good medicine for patients, and we encourage family members and friends to visit. From the Shady Lane Café to our Gift Shop, we want our facilities to accommodate our patients and visitors. However, patient care is our primary concern at Fisher-Titus Medical Center and, in order to enhance the quality of care, visiting hours and regulations have been established.
Visiting Hours & Guidelines
Visiting Hours
- Visiting hours are 8 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Visiting Guidelines
- Food or refreshments may not be given to a patient without consent of the attending physician or nurse in charge of the patients care.
- People with colds, sore throats, or any contagious diseases should not visit patients.
- Visitors should maintain a quiet environment and avoid unnecessary noise.
- Visitors should not sit or lean on the patient's bed.
- Visitors may be asked to leave the room during tests or treatments or when the doctor or nurse needs to see the patient.
Emergency Room Visiting
We understand the concern family members and friends have when a patient is being treated in the Emergency Department. So that we can provide a safe and private environment for all patients, we ask that visitors note the following rules:
- A maximum of two visitors may accompany the patient to the treatment room, except in special situations.
- Due to infection control concerns, food or drink is not permitted in treatment rooms.
The Emergency Department staff will make every effort to keep patients and families informed during the process, however, if you have a question, please ask.
Parking
Parking for patients and visitors is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week free of charge. Patients and visitors are cautioned not to park in reserved areas or certain designated areas. Please be sure to lock your car.
Café & Vending
The Shady Lane Café
Located on the first floor off the Main Lobby, The Shady Lane Café offers a wide variety of food choices for both patients and visitors. Visitors are welcome to eat in the cafeteria at any time it is open. And because we know family members and visitors are important to a patient's recovery, carryout from the Café is available so guests can join our patients in their room with their meal. So that we may efficiently serve the needs of all hospitalized patients, guest trays are not available.
