Fisher-Titus opened Family Medicine and Cardiology – Bellevue on March 15. The office is located at 521 N. Sandusky Street in Bellevue.
At the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Fisher-Titus had the honor of celebrating with representatives Janice Watson, Nicole Waugh, and Linda Pocock of the Bellevue Chamber along with Duane Baker, City Council First Ward. Among the attendees were Dr. Brent Burkey, the CEO of Fisher-Titus, and the Fisher-Titus administration members.
Dr. Kim E. Knight, MD, lifelong Bellevue physician has officially joined Fisher-Titus. “After practicing family medicine for 35 years in the Bellevue area, I have made the decision to retire. It was the right time and partnership to ensure my patients and practice have the next generation of physicians to care for them,” said Dr. Knight. “I am looking forward to slowing down and retiring from the practice of medicine at the end of May.”
“I was worried and concerned about who would care for my patients when I retired,” Dr. Knight explained. “Most doctors don’t want to come to a small town and having the partnership with Fisher-Titus made my decision possible. Fisher-Titus is a well-respected health system in our area and has a long track record of investing in and caring for our communities. I am confident that my patients will be in the best of hands well into the future.”
Fisher-Titus will ensure the legacy that Dr. Knight has built in Bellevue continues. “I’m excited for the introduction of Dr. Samuel Ross, MD, to my practice,” said Dr. Knight. “I have great confidence in Dr. Ross as he has taken care of my patients in the past. We worked together previously providing excellent patient care within the Bellevue community. As a Bellevue resident, Dr. Ross is known in our community and is the perfect physician to share in the care of my patients and practice.”
“We will continue to provide the same level of local, compassionate health care that Dr. Knight’s patients are used to receiving from him. We wish him the best of luck in his retirement,” said Brent Burkey, MD, President & CEO of Fisher-Titus. “Dr. Ross previously provided primary care services in Bellevue, and he is extremely excited to return to his home community," Burkey added.
Fisher-Titus also brings Jodi Schwab, FNP-C to the practice. Schwab has experience as a nurse practitioner in both obstetrics and gynecology. She is also experienced in managing chronic conditions and acute illnesses.
