“It’s kind of cool to have the first baby of the year born here,” Sarah said. “When we walked in on Jan. 2, we didn’t think our baby would be the first.”

When asked about the care she received from Dr. Kasten and the nurses in the Fisher-Titus Birthing Center, she had nothing but positive things to say.

“I love it here,” Sarah said. “Everyone is always checking on me to see if I need anything. They come in like clockwork to check on me and make sure I am not in any pain. Everyone is very attentive.”

Sarah and Andru Sr., residents of Norwalk, look forward to watching Andru Jr. grow up in the area.

“I can’t wait to take him fishing down at the Reservoir,” Andru Sr. said. “It will be a few years before we can do that, but I can’t wait.”

Andru Jr. joins his older brother Logan, who is 13 years old.

To celebrate his arrival, Andru Jr. and his parents were presented with a gift basket from the Fisher-Titus Auxiliary Gift Shop.
