Fisher-Titus Achieves Primary Stroke Certification with ACHC
Fisher-Titus proudly announces it has achieved Primary Stroke Certification through Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC).
“We are proud to have been recertified as a Primary Stroke Center,” said Dr. Gary Moorman, chief medical officer of Fisher-Titus. “We are dedicated to ensuring that our community has access to high quality stroke care close to home so they can be treated quickly and have the best possible outcomes in their recovery.”
Certification is a process through which health care organizations demonstrate compliance with national standards. Certification by ACHC reflects an organization’s dedication and commitment to meeting standards that facilitate a higher level of performance and patient care.
ACHC is a nonprofit organization that has stood as a symbol of quality and excellence since 1986. ACHC is ISO 9001:2015 certified and has CMS deeming authority for Home Health, Hospice, and DMEPOS.
Fisher-Titus is a Primary Stroke Center meaning they have the ability to stabilize and treat acute stroke patients, provide acute care, and administer tPA and other acute therapies safely and efficiently. Additionally, Fisher-Titus received Stroke Sliver Plus and Target: Stroke Honor Roll Elite recognitions in 2022 from the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association for their commitment to providing high-quality stroke care.
