Fisher-Titus Selects Three for North Central EMS Paramedic Scholarship

Fisher-Titus is pleased to announce that three applicants have been awarded the North Central EMS Paramedic Scholarship. Abby Howell, Holli Eastman, and Christopher Akins were selected to receive $7,936 each towards tuition for the completion of the Paramedic Certification at EHOVE Career Center.Abby 2

Applicants were required to submit a short essay describing their career goals and why they should be considered for the Paramedic Scholarship, along with two professional reference forms.

"The Paramedic Scholarship program is a great opportunity for North Central EMS to support the professional development of our staff," said Ashley Ballah, Director of North Central EMS. “We are so proud of the three scholarship recipients selected and their dedication to the community they serve.”

The purpose of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance to the employees of North Central EMS who are eligible to complete education their Paramedic Certification. Scholarship awards are dependent on the selected applicant’s acceptance into EHOVE Career Center’s paramedic program.

"We are excited to partner with North Central EMS and Fisher-Titus Medical Center through this opportunity that was made possible through CARES Act funding,” said Kendra Ward, Communications Coordinator for the EHOVE Career Center. “It's a great way for EHOVE to give back to both partners who provide quality clinical and work experience sites for students in EHOVE Adult Career Center's public safety and healthcare programs."

The selected applicants are required to complete the program and obtain their Paramedic Certification within six months of program graduation. Upon program completion, selected applicants will be employed by North Central EMS.
