Our Executive Team

Brent Burkey, MD

President & Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Brent BurkeyBrent Burkey, MD is the President & CEO of Fisher-Titus. As President & CEO, Dr. Burkey is responsible for the growth and sustainability of a vast network of entities that includes a medical center, skilled nursing facility, assisted living facility home health center, emergency transport, outpatient services, an employed physician group, and ambulatory locations throughout north central Ohio. Dr. Burkey is also a member of the medical staff at Fisher-Titus where he provides patient care as a hospitalist.

Prior to joining Fisher-Titus, Dr. Burkey worked at the Cleveland Clinic as a hospitalist beginning in 2004 and continued to practice during his 14-year tenure. At the clinic, he held numerous leadership posts including Associate Chief Quality Officer; Associate Director of Regional Operations; Chief Medical Officer at both Avon and Fairview Hospitals; Medical Director, Clinical Systems Office; and Section Head, Hospital Medicine at Fairview Hospital.

A native of Dover, Pennsylvania, Dr. Burkey earned a doctor of medicine degree in 2001 and graduated cum laude with a bachelor of science degree in 1997, both from MCP Hahnemann University in Philadelphia. He completed a residency in internal medicine and international health at MetroHealth Medical Center/Case Western Reserve University in 2004. In 2009, he earned a master's in business administration from Monte Ahuja School of Business, Cleveland State University.

Miriam Batke, SPHR, SHRM-SPC

Chief Human Resources Officer

Miriam BatkeMiriam Batke is the Chief Human Resources Officer for Fisher-Titus. She joined Fisher-Titus on an interim basis in October 2019 before accepting a permanent position in February 2020. She is responsible for Human Resources across the Fisher-Titus Health system serving over 1,300 employees.

Miriam has 25 years of diverse human resources experience and extensive knowledge in the field. Most recently, she worked as a Senior Consultant with Findley. Prior to that, she was Director of Human Resources at Wood County Hospital, a non-profit community hospital. She also spent 10 years in corporate and operational human resource leadership roles with Aeroquip-Vickers, a global manufacturing company.

A graduate of Bowling Green State University where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Miriam obtained her Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification in 2011 and her Senior Certified Professional through the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM-SCP) in 2015.

Miriam is married and has two adult sons, a cat, and a special needs dog. In her free time, she enjoys biking, listening to music, and reading cookbooks.

Katie Chieda, MSN/MBA, RN, CENP

Chief Nursing Officer

Katie ChiedaKatie Chieda, BSN, MSN/MBA, RN is the Chief Nursing Officer at Fisher-Titus. She joined Fisher-Titus in 2013 as the Neuroscience Service Line Manager. She was named Director of Nursing Services in 2015 before becoming Chief Nursing Officer in 2016.

As Chief Nursing Officer, Katie oversees many aspects of nursing care across the health system including nursing services at Fisher-Titus Medical Center; Ancillary Services such as laboratory, imaging, and rehabilitation; surgical services, and ambulatory nursing.

Prior to joining Fisher-Titus, Katie served in many nursing leadership roles including Clinical Nurse Manager, Progressive and Critical Care Units at Mercy St. Charles Hospital; Clinical Nurse Manager, Medical/Surgical/Neuro/Trauma ICU at Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital; and Assistant Nurse Manager, Neuro ICU at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus. Katie began her health care career in 2007 as a staff nurse at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus.

Katie earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Akron. She went on to receive her Master of Science in Nursing/Master of Business Administration Healthcare Management from University of Phoenix.

Katie has three children and enjoys boating and traveling with her family. She also serves on the Huron County Mental Health and Addiction Services Board as Board Chair.

Scott Endsley, MBA

Chief Financial Officer

Scott EndsleyScott Endsley, MBA is the Chief Financial Officer at Fisher-Titus. He joined Fisher-Titus in 2000 as a financial analyst and was named Manager, Decision Support in 2007.

In 2014, Scott joined Ascension Health System. While at Ascension, Scott held multiple leadership positions including Director, Finance and Senior Director, Finance for a multi-hospital system including a 475 bed facility located in Evansville, IN. He was responsible for system accounting, finance, decision support while working closely with system level resources in support of revenue cycle.

In August 2016, he returned to Fisher Titus as Vice President, Finance and became CFO in 2018. As Chief Financial Officer, Scott oversees all financial aspects of the system including finance, accounting and revenue cycle for the medical center and related system entities.  

Scott earned his Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from the University of Mount Union. He later went on to receive his Master of Science in Business Administration from Ashland University.

Scott and his wife, Jaime, have three children and live in Sandusky.  In his spare time, he enjoys sports and watching his kids participate in their various activities.  He is also active with Norwalk Catholic Schools as a 6th grade basketball coach and is a licensed basketball official with the OHSAA.

Suzanne Farmer

Chief Administrative Officer

Suzanne Farmer

Suzanne Farmer is the Chief Administrative Officer at Fisher-Titus. She joined Fisher-Titus in 2019 as Senior Director, Strategic Initiatives. In 2020, she was named Chief Administrative Officer.

As Chief Administrative Officer, Suzanne oversees business strategy and project management for Fisher-Titus including strategic initiatives, project management, business development, marketing and communications, The Fisher-Titus Foundation, and physician recruitment and liaison.

Suzanne has extensive experience in product and project implementations and operations in health care IT & operations, manufacturing, and financial services. Prior to joining Fisher-Titus she served as Director, Project Administration & Business Systems for Medical Mutual of Ohio where she was responsible for directing strategic and routine business systems projects. Additionally, she served as Director, Business Applications for Cleveland Clinic London where she was responsible for core business applications design and implementation for three go-lives in London, UK.

Suzanne earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Bowling Green State University.

Sharon Harwood

Chief Compliance Officer

Sharon HarwoodSharon Harwood is the Chief Compliance Officer for Fisher-Titus. She joined Fisher-Titus in 1989 as risk manager and progressively assumed further responsibility to be named Chief Compliance Officer/In-House Counsel in 2018.

She maintains licensure in Ohio as a registered nurse and attorney.  She has served on various state and community boards including the Ohio Supreme Court Board of Professional Responsibility, past president of the Ohio Society of Healthcare Risk Managers and Hospital Attorneys and public service on Norwalk City Council. 

Mrs. Harwood graduated cum laude from the University of Toledo and received her juris doctorate in law from the Toledo College of Law in 1985.  She enjoys travel, boating, and family events.

Matt Mattner

Chief Operations Officer

Matt MattnerMatthew Mattner, Chief Operating Officer for Fisher-Titus Health, is responsible for oversight of primary and specialty care outpatient clinics and services, facilities and the real estate portfolio, emergency management, the North Central EMS ambulance company, and patient support services (nutrition, environmental, security, and supply chain).

Matt has extensive leadership experiences in both the military and private sector, most of them leading health care operations. Prior to joining Fisher-Titus in 2019, Matt served as Chief Operating Officer at Cleveland Clinic Lutheran Hospital. He has a penchant for developing leaders and cohesive teams while also improving organizational understanding of the intricacies of healthcare with a focus on high reliability, safety, and quality. 

During his 27-year Army Medical Service Corps career, Matt served in senior leadership roles in the United States, Europe, Afghanistan, and South Korea. Fourteen years total overseas and 12 years as an air ambulance helicopter pilot.

Matt earned a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and a Master of Science in Aviation Safety from the University of Central Missouri, and he is a member of the American College of Health Care Executives.

David Levine, MD, FACEP

Chief Medical Officer

Dr. David LevineDavid Levine, MD, FACEP is the Chief Medical Officer at Fisher-Titus. Dr. Levine started at Fisher-Titus in 2022 after having previously served as Regional Medical Director over 25 emergency departments and hospitalist programs across Ohio, New York, and Pennsylvania. During this time, he also successfully launched a healthcare technology company, Assimilated Solutions, focusing on education and training for caregivers.

Dr. Levine has extensive health care experience including over 15 years as a leader before joining Fisher-Titus. Dr. Levine earned his Doctor of Medicine from University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He is married and has 3 grown children. 

Linda Stevenson, MBA, PMP, ERYT

Chief Information Officer

Linda StevensonLinda Stevenson is the Chief Information Officer at Fisher-Titus. With over 30 years in health care, Linda has had the opportunity to support all areas of the hospital, from clinical areas to revenue cycle. Throughout her career, she has lead teams at many Cleveland area hospitals, including The Cleveland Clinic, MetroHealth, Southwest General and most recently worked for The Cerner Corporation.

Much of her experience was in managing major hospital initiatives including HIPAA, Data Security and Privacy, Meaningful Use, and electronic medical record implementations, among others.

Linda received her Master of Business Administration from Cleveland State university, is a Project Management Professional, was nominated for the OHA Healthcare Worker of the Year award, and was awarded a CHIME Healthcare CIO Bootcamp scholarship. 

In her spare time, Linda is an experienced yoga teacher, Aromatherapist, Reiki Master, Cancer Exercise Specialist, and a health advocate for everyone she meets. Linda is the former owner of Zen Yoga Studio in Brunswick, Ohio, where she still teaches classes, leads workshops, and helps others find better health and happiness in their lives.
